FAQ

What can I expect from my first session with you?

Our session will be virtual. I will use the first session to collect all the needed information to do my nutrition assessment. I will ask about your food preferences and other pertinent questions to better assist you in the meal planning process. We will identify 1-2 areas to work on together. Then, set measurable and achievable goals to evaluate our progress.

Do you offer in-person appointments?

At the moment, all service is done virtually. When you book your appointment, you will receive a secure Zoom link to your email through the Practice Better platform. This is the link you will use for your session.

Do you work with couples?

I mainly work with women wanting to conceive but are facing with challenges to start a family due to PCOS or endometriosis. However, I do offer sessions for couples upon request, especially if you are going through assisted reproductive treatment.

Do you take insurance?

Currently I do not participate in any insurance plans. Some insurance companies may reimburse you depending upon your diagnosis and plan.

I can provide you with the superbill and diagnosis code to submit to your company. You can call your insurance company to see if it will be covered. Conditions such as diabetes and high cholesterol tend to be reimbursed more frequently. You will be responsible for payment before our initial session. You can call your insurance company ahead of time and tell them the CPT code. The CPT code for the initial hour appointment is 97802, and for 30 minute follow up appointments is 97803. You will need to ask your doctor for your diagnosis code (ICD 10 code).

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes. I reserve that time when you book an appointment, especially for you. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling your appointment. Late cancellations and no-shows will be subject to a $35 charge.
